Description (excerpt)

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract set forth in accordance with the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 12.102(a), Restricting competition. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 12 (NCO-12) Great Lakes Acquisition Center, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price to Imagine Milling Technologies Inc: 607 S Euclid St, Fullerton, CA, 92832 IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation/Revolutionary FAR Overhaul 12.102. This is for procurement of the GmbH Dental Exoplan/Exocad System for the Dental Department located at Clement J. Background The Milwaukee VA Medical Center (VAMC) Dental Laboratory requires the renewal of twenty-one (21) Exocad/Exoplan software licenses for a sixty (60)-month period covering December 31, 2026, through December 30, 2031. These licenses support the Dental Laboratory's digital dentistry and 3-D printing operations at both the Milwaukee VAMC and the Milo C. Huempfner VA Health Care Center. Justifications: Pursuant to RFO 12.102(a), there is only one source reasonably available to provide the required end-product under this acquisition. Award to Imagine Milling Technologies, Inc is justified on a sole source basis because the vendor previously supplied and configured the existing GmbH Exocad/Exoplan software licenses, as well as the associated computers, monitors, scanners, and related equipment currently utilized by the Dental Laboratory. The existing hardware and software environment operates as an integrated system specifically configured to function with the currently licensed GmbH Exocad/Exoplan platform. Obtaining software licenses through a different vendor would create substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be rec …
