Description (excerpt)
This is a request for information (RFI) only for capabilities and experience which show potential for meeting the requirements described below. This is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB). It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources for planning purposes only. Responses to this notice are not considered as offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information presented or the use of any such information. 1. Purpose The Joint Project Manager for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Protection (JPM CBRN P) is conducting a market survey to identify industry capabilities, experience, and potential approaches for serving as a Product Support Integrator (PSI) and material integration support for the Chemically Protected Deployable Medical System (CP DEPMEDS) Reconfiguration and Technology Refresh effort. This RFI is issued solely for planning and market-research purposes. It does not constitute a solicitation, request for proposal, commitment by the Government, or authorization to incur costs. The Government will not reimburse respondents for costs associated with preparing or submitting a response. 2. Background CP DEPMEDS is a fielded CBRN protection system that supports Army Role 3 field-hospital operations. The program is executing a reconfiguration and technology-refresh effort using fielded, previously qualified, and commercially available components. The revised support concept under consideration would use a commercial PSI to integrate component procurement, Government-furnished or Government-sourced materiel coordination, traceability, IUID marking, and delivery to Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA). PBA would retain r …
